Tom’s background in furniture making and design has overlapped into his love of ceramics. having studied design, form, colour and function, he applies this into his one off handmade ceramics.
Throughout the years of working in the furniture industry, he has used his skills to create beautiful pieces of functional furniture that also looks beautiful, now redirected into clay.
I LOVE POTTERY
His furniture studio was situated next door to a master potter and he was lucky enough to have observed her creating works of art daily. He soon became seduced by the creativity of clay and began walking his own path into this amazing world.
Everything Unique
After years of taking private ceramics classes with her, he absorbed her wealth of skills in throwing, hand building, making coloured slips and glazes from raw materials.
